News and Notes from The Community Center

Something very exciting happened this past week. We had a visit from a home schooling family who are looking for a place to do crafts. We could not be more pleased to welcome all home schooling families to come to the Center and use our crafts room and the many pieces of equipment and supplies — all free because they have been donated to us with love from the community. Any parents who are interested should contact us for details. We plan to set up a specific craft day — the room will be reserved for your use on a regular basis according to your wishes. We look forward to working with you during the summer months and then into the next academic year if that is your desire.

Speaking of arts and crafts, the room and equipment are available to others as well. If you would like to teach a drawing or painting class, or if you and some friends would simply like to set up a still life or have a model come in and pose for a studio session, that can be arranged. The space is here and available. Come and partake.

Hint: 911 signs make wonderful Father’s Day presents. We have them.

Plan to join us on Friday evenings from 6 until 9 p.m. for Dominoes and Cribbage. The food is good and so is the company.
