The knitters and quilters now have a home -- the new fiber arts room. Equipped with first-class sewing machines and a recently donated surger, generous cutting surfaces, a huge rainbow of fabrics and a special ironing table, the sewing cection is a wonder to behold. The knitters have comfortable seating, a library of pattern books and plenty of storage for excess wool. In the future, there will be weaving on a special floor loom donated by Susan Page in memory of Nancy Hilton.

Our Enrichment program will kick into high gear with our first van trip on June 17 to Rockland to the Farnsworth Museum to see the exhibits, “Andrew Wyeth at 100--Maine Drawings” and “Maine Watercolors 1938 to 2008.” We will stop for lunch at some place along the way.

As the summer months come upon us, we will be increasing our Enrichment program trips and cutting back on our open hours in July and August. Watch for more information. For information about all of our offerings please call 633-9876.
