    We have a busy week ahead beginning with the Fall Foliage Festival at the Railway Village on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 7 and 8. We look forward to seeing you at our booth, #42, on the lawn. We have an amazing array of items made by our community for your gift shopping. Times: Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Then, Oct. 10 is Flu Shot Day here at The Community Center. Come in from 10 a.m. until noon and get ready for the upcoming flu season; let’s all stay healthy together.

    Next, Tai Chi for Arthritis begins on Wednesday, Oct. 11 with Seated Tai Chi from 1:15-1:45 p.m. and Standing Tai Chi from 2-3 p.m. Finally, evening classes for those who work during the day will begin with a Knitter’s group on Wednesday and a Just Sew group on Monday.

    Looking ahead, we will be offering a Fall Nutrition Series for those who suffer from Diabetes and/or their families and caregivers. The first session will be Saturday, Oct. 14 at 1 p.m. Dr. Phillips will offer food demonstrations, tasting sessions, and a Q&A period. Also, we are anticipating a Rug Hooking Class on Thursdays to begin later in the month.

    Don’t forget: Seniors 62 and over walk free at the Y on Tuesday and Thursday. Call to be picked up by our van or for information about all of our offerings. 633-9876.
