You can now come in and see the finished construction project. We needed to be able to offer larger classes so we took a wall out and made a larger room. We are still bursting at the seams but it does not seem quite so crowded.

Game night on Friday evenings is perking right along. This past Friday we worked on the puzzle, played cribbage, and played dominoes. This coming Friday, the same activities will be going on and, in addition, we would like some Trivial Pursuit players — we will play at the board in the traditional way. Scrabble is also a possibility. Come on down from 6 to 9 p.m. — you can bring the kids, too.

Little things mean a lot. Our wish list mentions paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap, coffee, small paper plates and cleaning supplies. Each time someone brings us those supplies, it helps us pay the rent. Those who participate in the Clynk returnable bottle program at Hannaford generate enough money to pay the electric bill. Everything you do for us helps us offer our services free to the community. Thank you.

The World’s Best Cookie Walk is coming up on Valentine’s Day. Our bakers are hard at work creating lovable cookies for your selection. We are especially grateful to our Facebook Friends who have stepped up to bake. This year’s event should be spectacular — you can shop from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Feb. 14. Speaking of Valentines, the Cricut workshop has made cards for the patients at Safe Haven and the Village Greens — spreading a little love to the shut-ins.

The Just Sew gang has just completed 10 lovely flannel blankets to go to the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital and a quilt for a community member who is hospitalized. Don’t forget — if you wish to learn to sew, you can learn here.

If you need the van to pick you up and take you to walk at the Y or if you need more information about our programs, call 633-9876.
