Oceanside Golf Resort opening its doors to people in need

Wed, 11/01/2017 - 1:15pm

According to Boothbay Harbor Police Chief Bob Hasch, the Oceanside Golf Resort (former Rocktide Inn) on Atlantic Avenue is offering free rooms to people in need until the power is restored.

Rooms will be available to residents of Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Southport and Edgecomb. All rooms have king size beds and are good for small families and couples. There are approximately 40 rooms available tonight.

Owner Paul Coulombe said he wasn’t sure if television will be available, but there’s heat, and plenty of hot water for showers. “There probably won’t be daily maid service, though.”

One pet per room will be allowed.

To reserve a room, call 633-4455 until 7 p.m. tonight, Nov. 1, and between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. tomorrow, Nov. 2.

Hasch sends out a big thank you to the Coulombe family, staff and management at the resort for planning, working and caring for their neighbors in need.
