Bath artist Sarah Greenier is offering an eight-week course in oil and acrylic painting beginning on Sept. 28. Classes will be held on Sunday mornings, 9 a.m. to noon at her studio/gallery at 428 Middle Street in Bath.

The classes are designed for both beginner and intermediate students. Each class will begin with a painting demonstration, as well as instruction in all the basics of painting; including mixing colors, design and values.

Students will work from still life and their own photographs to create a small body of work, and will experiment with using a palette knife and larger brushes, in order to loosen up and have fun while learning.

Greenier is an award-winning oil painter and watercolorist who has exhibited her work throughout Maine and New England.

The cost for the eight-class session is $235.
