Update: Selectmen urge compromise on outdoor music issue
The Boothbay Harbor Board of Selectmen will meet at 6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 25 for its regular meeting held at the town office.
The agenda includes a discussion regarding the former tennis court area, located between the school parking lot near the field and Emery Lane.
Previous discussions show a desire in the community to create a green park space and basketball courts, and there has been discussion about erecting a veteran’s memorial as well. No official decisions have been made yet.
The selectmen plan to discuss outdoor music at Rocktide Inn and the Lobster Wharf, and issue two victular’s licenses — a liquor license and a catering permit.
The agenda also includes discussion of two bids, one for a public works truck and another for a police cruiser.
Members of the public are invited and encouraged to attend.
