Bath based artist Sarah Greenier will be teaching a painting workshop at the Boothbay Region Art Foundation (BRAF) on Thursday mornings for four weeks, 9 to noon,  May 4 through 25. Lessons, which will include techniques for painting in oil or acrylic mediums, are designed for both beginning and intermediate students. The cost of the four-week session is $120.

Greenier’s intuitive instruction is aligned to the enjoyment of learning to paint, as well as exploring more advanced techniques for experienced painters. Classes will be held  in the upstairs classroom at the  Art Foundation, 1 Townsend Avenue in Boothbay Harbor

Sarah will start out each class with a painting demonstration, along with instruction in design, color, shapes and values, tailored to whatever each individual student is working on.  Students will paint from photographs as well as still life.

Greenier grew up on Orr's Island and studied art at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York.  She and her husband, Tom own and operate Greenier Studio/Gallery in Bath, where she also paints and teaches.  Sarah is an award-winning oil painter, and has shown her work throughout Maine and New England. She currently exhibits at Greenier Studio/Gallery, as well as Boothbay Region Art Foundation and River Arts. For more on the artist, Visit  www.sarahgreenier.com.
