River Arts in Damariscotta is hosting an opening reception in the West Gallery for artist Petrea Noyes of Lincolnville who will have a solo show June 19 through July 1.

The opening reception will be held Friday, June 19 from 5-7 p.m. coinciding with the monthly Twin Villages Artwalk in Newcastle and Damariscotta. The public is invited to meet the artist, hear about her process and the works selected for display.

Noyes will be exhibiting some of her favorite pieces completed over the past 10 years. Works include mixed-media based on digitally altered vintage photos and digital collages printed on various media using a pigment archival large scale inkjet printer.

Noyes had been creating since 1962 in one fashion or another and has exhibited throughout the northeast for over 50 years. Her work is in numerous private collections and a number of corporate collections including Marriott Corporation and the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.

River Arts is located at 241 US Route 1 (N), just after Hunt Building Supply, and is open Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
