Edgecomb

Planning board approves permit for new home

Mon, 12/11/2017 - 8:30am

A Chicago native is looking to make Edgecomb her seasonal home. Lori Pristo grew up in Chicago. She is now an architect and general contractor in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Pristo received unanimous planning board approval Dec. 7 to build a home on Quarry Farm Road.

Pristo has owned the property since 2008, but hasn’t had time to build a home until recently. “I really like it up here. I’m looking forward to living here because the people are really nice,” she said. “I can’t be up here all the time so I need to find a builder because I’m so busy in Florida.”

Pristo is looking to build a 2,800-square foot home.

The board will meet next at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4 in the municipal building’s conference room.
