Dear Editor:

We feel it is very important that we all get out and vote at this year’s Boothbay Town Meeting. (Polls are open that day, May 7, at the Town Hall.) We have heard Mike Pander speak on a couple of occasions and are convinced he would make an excellent addition to the Boothbay Board of Selectmen.

Mike has said “It's a good time for a change...I'd like to see spirited debate on the issues facing our town, marked by civility and an exchange of ideas at select board meetings.” We agree.

Mike has an excellent background to provide an informed view as a member of the Boothbay board. In addition to an employment background in law enforcement and public safety, insurance risk management and mediation, he has volunteer experience in Boothbay on the Planning Board and as a board member and volunteer of the Boothbay Region Land Trust.

Boothbay has seen a rapid change in the recent past and Mike can provide the kind of leadership we feel would benefit all of us who live here. Please vote for Mike Pander for Boothbay Selectman.
