It's that time of year: Plein Air Painters of Maine (PAPME) will host the Oil Painters Of America's Great America Paint Out at Grimes Cove in East Boothbay for a second consecutive year.

This year it will be in coordination with the Plein Air Painters of the Southeast (PAPSE). The group will be painting with PAPME for a week.

Here are the dates and locations for the paint outs:

Monday, Sept. 8 - Hendricks Head Lighthouse and Beach, Southport Island

Tuesday, Sept. 9 - Barrett’s Park, Boothbay Harbor

Wednesday, Sept. 10 - Grimes Cove, East Boothbay

Thursday, Sept. 11 - Knickercane Island, Barters Island

Friday, Sept. 12 - Shipbuilders Park, East Boothbay

The public is more than welcome to come and watch the painters painting — you may even be inspired!
