Reelect Dale Harmon

Tue, 04/17/2018 - 9:15am

    Dear Editor:

May 7th in Boothbay is an important day. It is a day that we need to make sure we get to the polls and reelect Dale Harmon for selectman.

Dale is a dedicated member of our community. He is a full-time, single dad of two high school aged children. While raising his kids is his most important job, he has still found the time to serve as a member of the Joint Economic Development Committee for the last three years. As a small business owner on the peninsula, I am counting on Dale to keep supporting us small business owners as he always has. It is the lifeblood of our community. If we don’t continue to grow small business and our school population, where will we be in 10 years? Our student enrollment is currently on track to drop by 50 percent between 2006 and 2024. He wants to work with local tradespeople to implement an apprentice program for our youth.

Please, don’t just sit back and think it is not important to get out and vote. The future of our community, children and the elderly that live here are depending on you to get to the polls on May 7.
