The Boothbay Region YMCA Dolphins had 27 swimmers compete at the Bath YMCA at a five-team closed meet Nov. 11. BBYD had an impressive 11 first-time meet swimmers who all swam best times with no disqualifications. Swimming in the first meet were: Abby Amaral, Eden Butler, Eleanor Erwin, Byran Hills, Miles Murray, Reed Prentice, Mya Pinkham, Georgia Griffith, Demetrius Hilgendorf, Arabella Hodgdon and McKinlee Madden.

BBYD swimmers dropped a total of 103.94 seconds, fielded six relays, swam 38 first time events, and had 57 best times.

Congratulations to: the boys 8+ under 100 free relay team of Alex Hughes, Reed Prentice, Demetrius Hilgendorf and Miles Murray who placed first; the girls 8+ under 100 free relay team of Beatrix Recoing-Tallen, Eleanor Erwin, Arabella Hodgdon and Georgia Griffin who placed second; and the girls 9-10 200 freestyle relay team of YuJi Smith, Tatum French, Ella Watts and Hannah Hills who placed second. The Dolphins’ next swim meet is Saturday, Dec. 2 at the Sanford YMCA.
