Fri, 11/06/2015 - 11:30am

Don’t forget to shop the early bird sale in Damariscotta this weekend.

Some of the earliest deals will be when Damariscotta Hardware opens at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7. King Eider’s Pub also opens at 5:30 a.m. and will be serving coffee and breakfast treats.

The Animal House opens at 6 a.m. with 30 percent discounts for everything (except food, which is 10 percent off). The discount will drop to 25 percent at 7 a.m., then 20 percent at 8 a.m. There will also be a deep discount table and a special guest from Lincoln County Animal Shelter with baked goodies.

Don’t forget to sign up for the two door prizes, free food for a year and “Bone Man,” which is a scarecrow-like fellow built using $200 worth of Merrick dog bones.

The Damariscotta River Grill will be offering a 25 percent discount on gift certificates from 6 to 7 a.m. (only cash and checks will be accepted) and 20 percent off from 7 to 9 a.m.

Lots of other stores are participating as well, including Seawick’s Candle Company, HarborTech Solutions/RadioShack, Weatherbird, About Face and OnBoard Fabrics just to name a few.
