Seahawks overrun by Oak Hill Raiders 10-7

The Seahawks came out on the short end of an action-filled makeup game with the Oak Hill Raiders Saturday.

“It was a tough loss but we played well,” said Assistant Coach Bill Mansfield following the 10-7 loss.

The Seahawks got off to a quick lead in the first when pitcher Hunter Crocker stroked a double,stole third and came home on a passed ball. Will Labresque and Eli Gudroe scored in the second inning on a combination of errors and a triple by Hunter Crocker.

Cameron Crocker added to the lead with a triple and error, allowing him to clear the bases and cross home plate himself.

With the score 7-1, the Raiders made their comeback in the sixth inning topped off with a home run to right field by Reid Cote.

Cameron Crocker relieved Hunter Crocker in the sixth inning after Hunter threw 95 pitches. 

The Raiders took the lead for good in the top of the seventh with Ethan Barnett, Ezra Juray and Seth Dyer crossing the plate.

The Seahawks went to 1-6 with the loss. The Raiders advanced to 2-5 with the win. Coach Bill Mansfield was encouraged by the Seahawks offense."This was a good game for us. The results are beginning to show,” said Mansfield.
