Sheriff investigating Boothbay weekend burglaries

    The Lincoln County Criminal Investigation Division is investigating four Boothbay burglaries that happened last weekend. Four motor vehicles on the Pension Ridge, Back Narrows and Hardwick roads were reported robbed between 4:40 p.m. on June 18 and 2:22 p.m. on June 19, according Deputy Kevin Dennison of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department. Dennison’s preliminary investigation reports that at least two burglaries happened on June 18; Dennison is not sure when the other two occurred.

    The victims reported cash, electronics and one weapon taken from unlocked vehicles, according to Dennison.

    On the Boothbay Region Yard Sale Online Facebook page, Todd Barter wrote: “Lock your vehicle doors, burglars in the neighborhoods, be on the lookout and watch your valuables Pension Ridge got hit the last couple days, even went into a closed garage.”

    Dennison reported that investigators have not identified any possible suspects.
