On May 31, Boothbay Harbor Police Officer Larry Brown responded to a report of shoplifting caught on camera at a downtown business. The business owner reported that five males entered a store, subsequently left, and a short while later three of them returned at which time the theft occurred.

After an investigation and assistance from local merchants, Officer Brown and Officer Doug Snyder were able to locate and charge Anthony Marinucci, 19, of Silver Springs, Maryland with Theft By Unauthorized Taking (Shoplifting).

Items stolen were returned to the store.

The police department would like to thank the many local merchants who helped us locate and identify the suspect.
