Boothbay Harbor Fest’s mission is to showcase our vibrant business community. Events take place from within each participating business, resulting in a direct positive impact on revenues during the event, and return business after the event. Statistics shown below demonstrate economic impact and attendee feedback. More detail available upon request:

A Taste of Local Flavor tickets sold out at 550 attendees. All 14 venues were bursting with customers during their tasting time slot.

Review from a visitor: ‘The food and music were great at every venue, everyone was friendly and it was very festive all around! We had so much fun!’

Review from a first- time visitor: ‘Really fun time! Food, friends, weather, and music--all terrific. Very welcoming town!’

Review from a local resident: ‘We went in four restaurants we’d never been to before. The next day we went back to one for lunch’.

5k & Half Marathon: Total registration was up 15 percent from last year, for a total of 268. Fifty-two percent stayed more than one night at a local lodging property. Only 18 percent came for the day. Twenty-five percent participated in other festival events and 87 percent had never participated in the races before. Final accounting for race beneficiary YMCA/Lincoln Heath will be available next week.

Review from registrant: ‘I had a fantastic time at the half marathon today! It was a beautiful course, the volunteers were amazing, and it was super challenging! I've recommended it to my running group for next year and I'm already looking forward to it. Thank you!’

Be Vibrant Wellness Fair vendors offered our community free massage, CPR training, acupuncture, face painting, art therapy, live music, yoga, Zumba and aerobics.

A Stroke of Art brought 20 artists to town for seven days. Daily art receptions were open to the public and free admission. When not painting, the artists patronized our local shops and restaurants. WMTW Channel 8 broadcasted live at Harborfields on Friday, Sept. 8. A special recognition to Mary Phelps and her team who volunteered many hours to make this event possible.

Fishin’ For Fashion: This fourth year event dazzled a crowd of about 250, with incredible original designs, a live auction for original design bags and local merchant wares. Show judges included Channel 8 news anchor Cristina Frank, meteorologist Ted McInerney and 92 MOOSE, Merry St. Pierre. Final accounting for show beneficiary, BRHS Project Graduation will be available next week. A special recognition to Dana Paolillo for her dedication to our community, which makes this show possible.

Review from designer/attendee: ‘Thank you for another spectacular event! Amazing people, great cause with incredible designers and creativity abound!’

The Vintage Market: New for 2017, this event gave our downtown a festive boost on Saturday and Sunday with a park full of creative vendors and vintage campers at the Two Salty Dogs park.

More than 100 Maine businesses and organizations worked together to make this 10-day festival a huge success.
