St. Patrick’s Annual Christmas Fair will have wreaths for sale

Orders being taken beginning Nov. 8
Wed, 10/22/2014 - 4:00pm

As a part of St. Patrick’s Church’s bicentennial celebration in 2008, the Craft Group decided to decorate and sell Christmas wreaths.

This has become a tradition that has continued to this year. As in past years, the wreaths have been purchased from Bill Karas, owner of Evergreen Nurseries in Waldoboro.

The beautiful balsam wreaths are 24 inches, double-sided and, of course smell of Christmas. It was the decision of the Craft Group to use primarily natural decorations, winter berries, acorns, juniper berries, as well as balsam and white birch branches.

The cost of each wreath remains at $25 as it has been since the inception of this program. The group wants the wreaths to be affordable, as well as offer them as a gift to our parishioners.

Orders will be taken starting Nov. 8 before and after all Masses. We will continue to take orders until sold out. Wreaths may be collected at St Patrick’s Christmas Fair on Nov. 22. Payment is required at the time of ordering. For additional information on wreaths or to order, please contact Carrie Watson (207-633-2621).

This year continues our tradition of having a variety of crafters displaying their unique and creative items for sale. This is a wonderful opportunity to find that gift for a special person.

Please stop by Cheverus Hall, St. Patrick’s Church, 380 Academy Hill in Newcastle on Nov. 22 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
