Successful party at McArtors'

Thu, 05/02/2013 - 7:00am

The party at the McArtor’s home last week was a resounding success. The parking worked out and all of the other ingredients had over 50 attendees proclaiming the evening to be the highlight of the winter series. The next event in the continuum will take place at the clubhouse in May.

Speaking of events, this Saturday is the annual Kentucky Derby Party at 1700 in the clubhouse. Ladies are reminded to wear their hats and the bartenders have practiced the Mint Julep mixology. You are reminded to bring an appetizer to share with the other attendees.

Further word will be forthcoming, but the Junior Program has two announcements to make regarding their summer program. Golf will now become a part of the Junior summer offerings and a brochure describing the program will be mailed out early next week. If you desire advance information, please feel free to call manager Jim Matel in the office.

The Junior tennis program announces the appointment of Mazie Silverman and Jordan Friedland as instructors to work with Director Larry Rioux. In these two folks, we have two former Maine high School tennis champs in the respective female and male divisions.
