Dear Editor:

To members and friends of our local community churches ... thank you for your outpouring of support on Set For Success Mission Outreach Sunday, July 16.

Four hundred and thirty-seven students will be equipped to be Set For Success when they return to school in the fall and it is our community churches who continually provide us the first big boost towards the thousands of school supplies needed to equip our elementary students.

Set For Success is a program of Boothbay Region Community Resource Council. Event day is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 20 at the YMCA, Boothbay Harbor, from 1 to 3 p.m. This year the Y will extend the event by opening the pool and gym to all families.

All public school students from Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Edgecomb and Southport entering grades Pre K through 8th grade are invited to attend this free event.

Our sincere gratitude to all who continually reach out to support our children with school supplies from our Wish List and money donations.
