“Wind River”  -  U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service tracker (Jeremy Renner) and FBI agent (Elizabeth Olsen) team up to solve a murder on an Indian Reservation in "Wind River."  The body  of a raped 18-year-old woman is discovered on a snowy Wyoming Indian Reservation, FBI agent Jane Banner arrives to investigate. Teaming up with Lambert as guide, the duo soon find that their lives are in danger while trying to solve the mystery of the teen's death.

This is the directorial debut of Taylor Sheridan, American actor, screenwriter and director (he is known for his role as David Hale on the FX television series "Sons of Anarchy"), and for writing several films, including the screenplay for "Sicario" (2015), for which he received a Writers Guild of America Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay. Sheridan earned "Best Direction" for his work on "Wind River" at the Cannes Film Festival on May 28, 2017.

"Wind River" is rated R fro strong violence, a rape, disturbing images, and language. Run time: 111 minutes. Plays at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13 and Thursday, Sept. 14.

"Logan Lucky"  -  West Virginia family man Jimmy Logan teams up with his one-armed brother Clyde and sister Mellie to steal money from the Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina. Jimmy also recruits demolition expert Joe Bang to help them break into the track's underground system. Complications arise when a mix-up forces the crew to pull off the heist during a popular NASCAR race while also trying to dodge a relentless FBI agent.

Lindsey Bahr, writing for The Associated Press, describes "Logan Lucky" as “ ... a darn good heist, and sure to leave you with a smile on your face.”

"Logan Lucky" is rated PG13. Run time: 111 minutes. Directed by Steven Soderbergh (Magic Mike, Ocean's 11, 12 & 13), the film stars Channing Tatum, Adam Driver, Seth MacFarlane, Riley Keough,
Katie Holmes, Katherine Waterston, Dwight Yoakam, Sebastian Stan, Hilary Swank  and Daniel Craig. It plays Friday, Sept. 15 and Saturday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. and  Sunday, Sept. 17 at 2 and 7 p.m,
Wednesday 9/20 and Thursday 9/21 at 7 p.m.

“The Big Sick”  -  Based on the real-life courtship of Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon, “The Big Sick” tells their story - Pakistan-born aspiring comedian (Nanjiani), connects with grad student Emily (Zoe Kazan) after one of his stand-up sets. However, what they thought would be just a one-night stand blossoms into the real thing, which complicates the life that is expected of Kumail by his traditional Muslim parents. When Emily is beset with a mystery illness, it forces Kumail to navigate the medical crisis with her parents, Beth and Terry (Holly Hunter and Ray Romano) who he's never met, while dealing with the emotional tug-of-war between his family and his heart. Rated R. Final showings Thursday, Sept. 14 at 2 and 7 p.m.

“Maudie”  -  Based on a true story, Maudie is an unlikely romance in which the reclusive Everett Lewis (Ethan Hawke) hires a fragile yet determined woman named Maudie (Sally Hawkins) to be his housekeeper. Maudie, bright-eyed but hunched with crippled hands, yearns to be independent, to live away from her protective family and she also yearns, passionately, to create art. Unexpectedly, Everett finds himself falling in love. Maudie charts Everett's efforts to protect himself from being hurt, Maudie's deep and abiding love for this difficult man and her surprising rise to fame as a folk painter.

“Maudie” is rated PG-13, with a run time of 1 hour 55 minutes, it plays at 2 and 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 15, Saturday, Sept. 16, Sunday, Sept. 17 and Wednesday, Sept. 20.

Stories to Screen: Roald Dahl’s “Matilda” -  In Stories to Screen: Roald Dahl, the Lincoln Theater screens a classic family film, for free, on select Saturdays, based on a story by the acclaimed author, Roald Dahl. Matilda is the story of a wonderful little girl, who happens to be a genius, and her wonderful teacher vs. the worst parents ever and the worst school principal imaginable. A limited number of copies of the book on which the film is based can be picked up at the theater (yours to keep!) to read before the screening. NT Live: “Yerma,”  -  The incredible Billie Piper returns in her award-winning role. A young woman is driven to the unthinkable by her desperate desire to have a child in Simon Stone's radical production of Lorca's achingly powerful masterpiece. The unmissable theatre phenomenon sold out at the Young Vic and critics call it 'an extraordinary theatrical triumph' and 'stunning, searing, unmissable.' Billie Piper's lead performance is described as 'spellbinding', 'astonishing' and 'devastatingly powerful.' Set in contemporary London, Piper's portrayal of a woman in her thirties desperate to conceive builds with elemental force to a staggering, shocking, climax.

“Yerma” is rated R, run time: 2 hours, no intermission. Screens live at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21 and will be rebroadcast and 7 p.m.
