Artist and illustrator Thomas Block will be showing a collection of selected works at the First Federal Savings Bank at 41 Townsend Avenue in Boothbay Harbor.

Watercolor, pencil on graphite and egg tempera works are in this show to run March 17 through the summer.

Block had his first one-man gallery show when he was in high school. He went on to become an award-winning art teacher, named Art Educator of the Year by the Maine Art Education Association.

Now retired from teaching, he continues to work in a variety of mediums — oils, watercolors, pastels, pen and ink, charcoal, egg tempura, sculpture and mixed media.
