Update: Boat aground in Gut floats free

Mon, 09/26/2016 - 1:45pm

At 12:30 p.m. today, a cabin cruiser, approximately 34’ LOA, was traveling south entering Townsend Gut past Cameron Point leaving the red nun #6 to starboard.

The boat grounded to a halt on the ledge and remained there still, awaiting the turn of the tide. The Marine Patrol happened by a few minutes later, followed shortly by SeaTow and the pump out boat.

At approximately 4:10 p.m., the boat floated off the ledge.
