Friends of the Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy and blessed Thanksgiving and encourage faithful readers to come in to the Bookstore and stock up for the holidays and winter. The Used Bookstore closes for the winter at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25 with many thanks to everyone who contributed to another successful year. With that thought in mind, all books in-store will be on sale at half-price Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Again this year, the Bookstore will accept no books as of Nov. 30. All porch books go to the Salvation Army as of the first week of December. If you have the space and the patience to save your donations until spring, we hope you will bring us your gently used books, DVDs and CDs. Old textbooks, dictionaries, encyclopedias and/or anything soiled or musty must, sadly, be consigned to the dump.
