Vote no on Question 2

Tue, 10/17/2017 - 10:30am

    Dear Editor:

On Tuesday, Nov. 7, we will be voting on state referendum questions. The most concerning of these is Question 2. Do you want Maine to expand Medicaid to provide healthcare coverage for qualified adults under 65 with incomes below 138 percent of the federal poverty level, which means $16,643 for  a single person. $22,412 for a family of two.

This does not mean it is intended for Medicare! In five years time, we will be spending $400 million. Every household will have to pay an extra $180 a year in taxes. Do you want to pay higher taxes? This referendum  will put us under!

    Vote no on Question 2!
