Voter suppression?

Mon, 06/19/2017 - 4:00pm

    Dear Editor:

Today (Tuesday, June 13), it was impossible to drive to the Boothbay Town Hall to vote. Not only was the entire front entrance closed off and dug up, so was the route around it from Corey Lane to 27.

All for the building of the roundabout and closing off Corey Lane.

When I finally got there, walking in after parking at the Post Office — which is not allowed unless one is using the post office — I was only the sixth person to get there to vote.
Aside from the lack of any “Vote here today” sign, which otherwise would be on the Common ... it certainly seems like voter suppression.

Any thoughts who might have been benefiting from that kind of orchestrated interference?
