It's time to start thinking about participating in the 2017 Windjammer Days Street Parade on Wednesday, June 28 at 4 p.m.

Parade registrations and participant waivers have been mailed to area organizations and businesses which have participated in the past. However, if you have not received them in the mail and are considering entering a float in the parade, contact one of these members of the parade committee: Stephanie Hawke (stephaniehawke66@yahoo.com), Michelle Davis (myrondella@yahoo.com), Laura Francis (gatherings@yahoo.com) or John Bertolet (jobert1@roadrunner.com), to receive the information.

Again this year, there is no special parade theme -- "just do what you do best!" as the cover letter states.

The entry fee of $20 per entry is to cover the costs of mailings, paid participants and insurance.

The deadline for signing up to participate in the parade is June 15.
