Memorial Day ceremonies in the Boothbay region start at Newagen at the southern tip of Southport Island and continue through the morning at West Southport, two locations in Boothbay Harbor, Boothbay Center and East Boothbay.
Despite the damp conditions, crowds gathered to hear the various speeches and to remember those lost in wars throughout America’s history.
