Talk Talk continues at WPL

The topic for the next Wiscasset Public Library’s Town Talk, on Wednesday March 21 at 3:00, will focus on family recipes. Participants are asked to bring and share a favorite recipe or recipe book that have been passed down through their families.  This sharing of recipes and old recipes books may be an interesting way of hearing family stories, traditions and a realization our commonality.

Joe Froggers, Suet Pudding, Depression Cake, are recipes folks may or may not find in their recipe books. Various version of recipes and tips for making and baking Fruit Cakes, Biscuits, and Rolled Molasses Cookies are certain be found in most of our collections.

 All participants will be invited back to April’s Town Talk and to bring a sample of the cooked/baked product from their favorite family recipe. 

Town Talk takes place on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 3:00 in the Library’s Fiction Room. The program is sponsored by the Friends of the Wiscasset Public Library. Come join in the Town Talk.
