letter to the editor

Anonymous helper

    Dear Editor:

For the last several months my husband and I have been living with health challenges. We have received much needed help from family, friends, neighbors and medical personnel for which we are very grateful.

There is one anonymous helper whom we have been unable to identify and thank. When the footing is treacherous or the daily newspaper is in a place inaccessible to us, this person brings the paper to our door. We appreciate this kindness a great deal and would like to express our thanks in person. If this Good Samaritan prefers to remain anonymous, we hope he or she will see this expression of our gratitude.

We know this is unimportant in the whole scheme of things, but it is important to is that someone demonstrates such kindness. In a world with so much division and unpleasantness, it is a pleasure to encounter kindness and concern.
