Athletes competing well at Special Olympics USA Games; soccer team takes silver medal

At the Special Olympics USA Games in Seattle, Washington, as of July 4, Boothbay Region’s three athletes have done well, according to their coach Toby LeConte.

Danny Miller won a swimming silver medal in the 100-meter freestyle. Swimmer Grace Giles earned a bronze in the 100-meter freestyle. And Valerie Giles scored a goal in the July 3 soccer game against Hawaii. Giles’ team also won its game on July 4.
