Tony McKim, president and chief executive officer at First National Bank, has announced that the bank’s trust and investment management division, currently known as First Advisors, is changing its name to First National Wealth Management.

“Our new name truly reflects what we do in that division of the bank. We are more than a traditional trust department, and our employees are well experienced in managing and protecting the assets of our customers, be they a non-profit entity, an individual or a municipality responsible for investing taxpayer funds,” said McKim.

In addition to the name change for First Advisors, the Bank will also be adding a new business line: First National Investment Services. First National Investment Services is a joint venture between the bank and Cetera Financial Group. Through Cetera, the bank will be able to offer traditional brokerage accounts, insurance products, annuities and other related financial products.

“We are excited to be able to offer our customers more options when it comes to financial products and services, and serving customers at all stages of their financial life cycle,” said Steve Parady, executive vice president and chief fiduciary officer.

First National Bank serves Maine with 16 offices in Hancock, Knox, Lincoln, Penobscot and Washington counties. First National Wealth Management personnel are available to meet with customers at any of the bank’s branch offices.
