The nation’s largest turnkey event provider, Compass Rose Events, Inc., expanded west into the Dallas–Fort Worth region of Texas on March 1.

“Opening our third delivery center allows CRE to better service our Southwest clientele, capture a broader audience in a growth-oriented region and expand into new western markets, while remaining the largest and best corporate events provider in the U.S.,” says Brian Long, CRE’s president.

As a turnkey event provider serving the nation’s premier employers, their intent is to host memorable, safe, and successful events by delivering everything from concept to implementation.

Compass Rose Events, Inc. was born in 2004 on the coast of Maine as True North Events & Catering. Founder and CEO Scott Larson tapped his experience in large corporate picnics from 20 years with the now-defunct Atlanta-based The Fun Company, and more recently, wedding productions as the owner of several Maine hospitality properties. In 2006, True North Events & Catering expanded, opening a second branch in Lakeland, Florida, calling themselves Coastal Events & Catering. By leveraging resources between the two companies, they extended True North’s short summer season well into the spring and fall in the southeast regions of the country.

During the next couple of years, the company combined their two brands, creating Compass Rose Events, Inc. and moved their Florida warehouse to Nashville, Tennessee to better serve their expanding geographical market. The recession of 2009 weeded out many competitors in the industry, while the CRE brand and reputation continued to strengthen. They soon became the corporate event company of choice for the foreign automotive industry and were uniquely positioned to deliver nationally for companies with multiple locations.

Compass Rose Events, Inc. turned its ownership over to its employees in 2017 and now operates delivery centers in Maine, Tennessee, and now, Texas.

“We deliver approximately 300+ corporate events annually for the country’s largest employers. Sales exceeded $12 million in 2017 and we’re on track to hit $13.5 million by year’s end,” says Larson.
