Don’t miss Family Fest and Music Fest

The first-ever Boothbay Food and Music Festival concludes Saturday, Sept. 22 with two events, the Family Fest and Music Fest, sure to please people of all ages. Both events are being held at the Boothbay Railway Village.

First up is Family Fest, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is a day full of family fun! Games, arts and crafts, inflatables, kranky kar rides, laser tag, an obstacle course, a clown balloon artist, train rides, food trucks, music by Dr. Zog and live performance by Wacky Chad of America’s Got Talent at noon and 2 p.m. He is a stunt comedian who has entertained at schools, fairs, festivals --- and even at the Super Bowl. Museum admission is included with your Family Fest ticket. Steam train tickets are an additional $5 per person and will be available at the door. The train will run every thirty minutes starting at 10:30 am and ending with a 3:30 p.m. trip. Children under 3 and Museum Members always ride free.

The Music Fest will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. and will feature three signature bands, Dr. Zog, featuring upbeat zydeco music, at 5 p.m., Motor Booty Affair, featuring disco classics, at 6:30 p.m. and Ghost of Paul Revere, featuring bluegrass, folk, indie and more, at 8:30 p.m.
