Tue, 04/03/2018 - 7:45am

Join us at The Lincoln Home Monday, April 9, from 3 to 4 p.m. to hear Arnold Aho, architectural historian, talk about the rise and fall of the early maple sugarhouses, how they were constructed and how they changed. The illustrated program will include the social aspect of town and community involvement at harvest time and how the colonists learned about maple sugar from the Native Americans.

The event is free. The Lincoln Home is located at 22 River Road, Newcastle. For more information, contact Rhonda Hanna, 563-3350, or rhonda@lincoln-home.org.
