Elder graduates from Simmons University

Hannah K. Elder graduated from Simmons University, earning a master’s of science degree from the University’s School of Library and Information Science, with a concentration in Cultural Heritage. Her very proud family attended the ceremony, which was held on Friday, May 17 at the Rockland Trust Bank Pavilion on the waterfront in Boston, Massachusetts.

Hannah is a 2013 graduate of Boothbay Region High School and in 2017 earned her bachelor of arts degree from the University of Maine, graduating summa cum laude with a major in anthropology and minors in history and Medieval and Renaissance Studies. While at UMaine, she was initiated into membership in the national honor societies of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi and Alpha Lambda Delta and the honor fraternity of Phi Sigma Pi.

The daughter of Rick and Monica Elder of Edgecomb, Hannah will be residing in Boston and working at the Massachusetts Historical Society.
