Dear Editor:

Well, the final tree, “One Tree,” finally blew over during the March 10 coastal storm, so there are no trees left where it had been named “Three Trees” here on Ocean Point for many decades. I can’t believe I’d see the sad day when no more of the three trees would finally be gone. A piece of history here on the south side of Ocean Point is now gone forever. It’s really sad.

Unfortunately, the one tree had pretty much died in the past few months due to the coastal storms in December and January. The wind and waves washed away all the earth and weakened the one tree.
