Help celebrate the holiday season by entering the “Light the Shore” contest sponsored by the Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce. Now in its second year, the “Light the Shore” contest encourages all properties along the harbor shoreline, business and residential, to show their holiday spirit by decorating and lighting up their properties, docks and floats.

The Chamber will award a $100 prize for the best display. The lights and decorations must be up by Dec. 1 when the judging will take place. The winner will be announced at the Harbor Lights Festival Lighted Boat Parade Wrap Up and Awards Party to be held at Mine Oyster from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1. Businesses and residents are encouraged to use their imagination and show visitors and residents alike, the special community Christmas spirit here in our region.
