HEAD OF THE HARBOR GALLERY
129 Commercial St. ~ 350-5969
The plein air oil paintings of Roger Milinowski move the observer beyond the mere depiction of the subject matter into a reverie of bygone eras. Extended stays in the Charleston, S. C. area provides material, including wild life in the Low Country, shrimp vessels, and Charleston Street Scenes, that lends itself to Milinowski's insightful artistic expression. Open house/reception from 3-5 p.m.
In East Boothbay ...
70 Paradise Point Rd. ~ 633-6093
Add a horticultural twist to your artistic adventure by extending your tour slightly off the beaten path to East Boothbay. See the colorful yet peaceful realistic oils by Mary Ellen Serina and benches by Ron Serina in the gardens. Wine and refreshments will be served between 1-5 p.m. Just a five minute drive from the Harbor. Directions: from Hannaford follow Rt. 96/Ocean Point Road to 4/10 mile past the East Boothbay General Store. At the top of the hill turn right onto Paradise Point Road. Look for the yellow open banner. You may also visit most days between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
And on Southport Island …
38 Beacon Hill Rd. ~
We will be open 1-5 p.m. But be forewarned: the studio is located at the waterfront. Directions: south to Southport; cross the swing bridge, turn right onto Beacon Hill Road just past Robinson’s Wharf. Parking is at the top of the hill; and there is a long stairway down to the studio- but well-worth every step of the way!
