Free blood pressure screenings at CLC YMCA

Thu, 12/20/2018 - 7:15am

LincolnHealth, in partnership with Central Lincoln County (CLC) YMCA, will be offering free blood pressure screenings during select dates of the Friday farmers' markets. The screenings will be available from 9-10 a.m. in the conference room and are currently scheduled for Dec. 28 and Jan. 11.

Community members who have high blood pressure are encouraged to participate in the YMCA’s Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring program, an evidence-based program that combines blood pressure self-monitoring, nutrition education seminars and personalized support, available at both CLC YMCA and Boothbay Region YMCA. This is an ongoing program with year-long open enrollment. To learn more, contact Casey Clark Kelley, 207-563-9622 or cclarkelley@clcymca.org.

The Damariscotta Farmers’ Market moved indoors to the CLC YMCA at 525 Main Street in Damariscotta starting back in November and runs every Friday from 9 a.m. to noon with a variety of vendors offering fresh vegetables, baked goods, pickled goods, jams and jellies, meat, seafood, cheeses, eggs, and lots of artisan products as available.
