Fully support Ken F-Fitch

Dear Editor:
I recently turned 18 and I am now a registered voter. This is an exciting election to exercise my right to vote for the first time. More importantly, the first time I fill in a box on a ballot it will be for someone that I personally know and fully support, Ken F-Fitch.

If the way Ken acts as a neighbor is any indication as to how he will be as a selectman, he should have everyone’s vote.

As a youth in the community, I can honestly say Ken has our back. Long before he considered running for selectman, Ken was involved in helping the area youth. I have grown to know him having had him as a substitute teacher, where he was effective and respected by the students. Ken also helps the youth with his involvement with Food for Thought, delivering weekend meals to families in need. His volunteer role, as the Keeper of the House on Burnt Island, has him as the father figure to many area student actors and actresses, of which I once was.

Let’s not forget Ken’s relationship with many local kids that serve him daily in the summer at the Ice Cream Factory. I am sure he has fostered their work ethic and interpersonal skills. Finally, Ken’s recent involvement in Boothbay Harbor Waterfront Preservation, which will benefit the youth by providing space for the future generation of lobstermen/women, again shows he cares for the kids of the region.

I’m looking forward to voting and I hope you fill in the box next to the name Ken F-Fitch.
