July inspired the theme for Saint Columba’s Episcopal Church's first Red, White, Blue and You open house and festival on Saturday, July 28 in Boothbay Harbor, church member Connie Heroy said.

The new theme replaced the pancake breakfast the church held in past years.

As in the past, the church had a white elephant sale and a silent auction with items two dozen businesses and church members donated.

Instead of pancakes, a luncheon with hamburgers, salads, beverages and dessert was provided.

Children’s games were held in the church yard with prizes for the contestants. The Rev. John Ineson played guitar and sang.

The proceeds will supplement the church coffer, Heroy said.
