Garden Club invites all to the 2017 Festival of Trees

    “A Coastal Christmas” Festival of Trees will be Dec. 1, 2 and  3 at the Opera House, Boothbay Harbor. Admission is free. The Festival will be part of the “Boothbay Festival of Lights.”

    Dates and hours: Friday, Dec. 1, Festival opens at noon; Saturday, Dec. 2, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 3, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The silent auction this year will close at 1 p.m. Sunday with pick up of all items beginning at 2 p.m.

    The 2017 Christmas Shops: Santa’s Sweet Shop, Nature’s Corner, Mantle/Table, Little Trees will offer an assortment of sweets, gift items, holiday greens, centerpieces, small trees, wreaths, gardening items, edible birdhouses and the ETC shop will offer items from jewelry to home goods. Shop for special gifts or to satisfy your sweet tooth.

    Buy tickets for the special raffles again this year. New this year will be that winning tickets will be drawn at 4 p.m. on Saturday so you can take it home that day. You do not need to be present to win. The theme tree raffle will once again offer the tree, lights and all the ornaments that will be perfect to help you celebrate “A Coastal Christmas.” The theme tree raffle to be drawn on Sunday at 1 p.m.

    The silent auction will again be filled with over 50 items from the decorated Christmas trees to special gift items just waiting for your bid. When attending the Festival, register for your individual bid number and have fun bidding on your favorite.
