GOP gubernatorial candidates are coming to Boothbay Harbor

Local Republicans holding ‘Meet the Candidates Night’ for local, state and federal offices on May 30

    The Boothbay/Boothbay Harbor Republican Committees will host a Meet the Candidates Night from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30 in the Board Room at the corner of McKown and Howard streets.

    The committee has invited all four GOP gubernatorial candidates: State legislators Rep. Ken Fredette of Newport and Sen. Garrett Mason of Lisbon, former Department of Health and Human Services Commissioner Mary Mayhew of South China and businessman Shawn Moody of Gorham.

    Federal candidates Eric Brakey, a state senator from Auburn, who is running for U.S. Senate, and Congressional candidate Mark Holbrook of Brunswick were invited. State legislators Stephanie Hawke of Boothbay Harbor will attend. She is seeking a third term to the state House of Representatives. State Senator Dana Dow of Waldoboro is seeking a second consecutive term to the Maine Senate. He has also been invited.

    District Attorney Jonathan Liberman of West Bath is seeking election for Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Waldo and Knox counties. He has also been invited.

    All interested parties wanting to meet the candidates are encouraged to attend.
