Healthy Kids retires Chocolate Fest, begins ‘Cabin Fever Reliever’

Mon, 01/07/2019 - 12:00pm

After 17 years, Healthy Kids will retire its community Chocolate Fest fundraising event that has featured wonderful local chocolate, beautiful auction items donated by hundreds of local businesses and artists, support from our business donors, inspiring music by local musicians, service by local restaurateurs and student service clubs and of course, all the community members in attendance. It has been a great run and Healthy Kids closes this chapter with a sincere note of gratitude to all who joined in to make it a wonderful event raising thousands of dollars to support children and families in Lincoln County.

The new event will be Healthy Kids first annual “Cabin Fever Reliever” and will be held on Saturday, March 30 from 7-10 p.m. at the CLC YMCA. This event is for the entire family who can come sporting their favorite flannels. Kids activities will include playing in a tent, sitting around a battery-operated fire pit eating s’mores, playing games, face painting and more. Adults will be treated to local beers and wines, savory snacking food, folk music, fun indoor carnival type activities, music and of course, our silent and live auction. This is sure to be fun for all and will raise money for the programs of Healthy Kids.

Tickets for the Cabin Fever Reliever will be on sale prior to the event at Damariscotta Bath Savings and Healthy Kids office at 15 Belvedere Rd. Damariscotta. Adult tickets advance purchase are $15 and $20 at the door. Teen tickets will be $5 and children 12 and under are free.
