Dear Editor:

Mainers are looking for effective leaders who know how to get things done.

Janet Mills is and has been a great role model for all Maine people for decades. Janet fights on our behalf with great civility and certainty. Janet does not choose to order a $925,000 study with $501,000 paid with a math error. She does not waste our time or our money. Janet knows where the law lands that protects our children, our lives, our health, and our future. We know this because we have seen this time after time.

Janet does not waste taxpayer money on private court cases that have no public cause and the requesting individual cannot supply good reason for the State’s Attorney to take the case. Those who ignored Janet’s advice lost time and millions of tax dollars when their case was denied.  Like most attorneys Janet measures the nature of the case and determines the value it has for her client along with the facts available or provided for its success. We, the people, are her clients.

Governor candidate Janet Mills, is the only candidate whose skills and background have already been proven beyond and above our expectations. Other candidates, while welcome to run for office, fall short of being able to know enough, have the legal expertise and knowledge of the state attorney general to represent every need that we the people bring to the table for resolution. In addition to legal issues, budgets, and policy solutions, Janet saves lives. Janet listens and understands the people’s needs. She finds needed Medicaid funds, cares enough to spend personal time saving lives of neighbors.

Maine is the envy of the nation. Our representatives have the desire and ability to provide bipartisan legislation. Janet, our governor candidate, works with all parties to secure the best for the people. Maine is fortunate to have a candidate already working on our behalf. It is a rare moment in election history that the person running for governor has always been on our side while in office.

Janet makes sure she protects the people. We the people of Maine are her clients.
