At 7:20 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, Boothbay Region Ambulance Service and Officer Aaron Beck of Boothbay Harbor Police Department responded to a call on Lakeside Drive.

Beck said Kari Babcock, 51, of Boothbay, was driving her 2016 blue Ford Escape southbound when it collided with a northbound 2014 gray Ford Flex driven by Laura Hughes, 53, of Southport. Babcock was making a left hand turn when the vehicles collided. Each driver was transported by ambulance to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Beck said.
