Lincoln County Democrats meet April 18

Tue, 04/09/2019 - 7:30am

The Lincoln County Democratic Committee’s (LCDC) monthly meeting is an opportunity to meet members, participate in discussion, hear from political candidates, public officials and other speakers with expertise, ideas and opinions about current issues. The next meeting is on Thursday, April 18, 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room at the Fire Station, 86 River Rd., Newcastle.

This month’s agenda features the theme “State of the State Party” with guests Kathleen Marra, chair of the Democratic State Committee and Lisa Roberts, executive director of the Maine Democratic Party.

“The work of LCDC activists and volunteers is so important to improving the lives of Maine people. It's how we elect capable representatives and leaders that care profoundly about their constituents,” said Marra. “Lisa Roberts and I are looking forward to discussing how we can collaborate with grassroots efforts like those of the LCDC all over Maine from now until we win in 2020.”

In 2019, the LCDC meets on the third Thursday of each month through November at 6:30 p.m. at the Newcastle Fire Station. All Democrats and progressive independent or unenrolled voters are encouraged to attend any committee meeting. Registered Democrats in Lincoln County are invited to join the LCDC as voting members to help in their work.
